The town that God forgot

All Maggie Kelly wanted was a quiet life. She came from out east, looking for a fresh start, and somehow ended up worse off. Her husband, Rían, works as a low-paid junior constable for the Bytown magistrate, which puts him in harm’s way more than she’d like. But despite the chaos all around them, Maggie and Rían find comfort in each other, and the little sliver of civility in an unruly world.

But not for long.

Bytown was an episodic webfiction project that, unfortunately, launched the same month that covid-19 knocked the world sideways. After 10 months of crazypants creation on a variety of different release schedules, the story of Maggie Kelly finally came to an end. The text itself will live again, so stay tuned for more details.
