DOM you to hell

Working on the TR app and everything is remarkably smooth, except out of nowhere, you can't drag stickers to the canvas anymore. I do traces on the click events to see what object I'm supposedly clicking, and the stupid thing returns every bloody element from the cursor on down, EXCEPT the sticker I was touching. Trick is: it started when I merged the new XMCore into the project, which is otherwise vital. Debug hell.
