Belgravia: Opening Titles

MCMFriday, March 5, 2021

We just started watching the series Belgravia (because my wife only reads about WWII and only watches shows about time periods before 1930, apparently) and while it's very obviously a Julian Fellowes show (the kind where you cynically think "nah, I won't care about any of these people" and then somehow do, very much) the thing that really impressed me was the opening. The way the art turned into textured elements — I mean, I've seen that trick before, many times — it's just captivating and elegant.

Mark my words, a month from now, I'll be grumbling about how Fellowes tricked me again. But at least I'll have this intro to comfort me in the meantime.
