The Problem King

This is fantasy political thriller set in King Arthur's Camelot. Or, well, a version of it...

You see, in this world, Guinevere is an arms dealer, and Camelot’s best; she's the go-to woman for Continental despots and would-be revolutionaries... but as good as she is, she still can’t get a seat at the Round Table.

So when a no-name farmer fulfills a prophecy by pulling a sword from a stone — throwing the kingdom into political turmoil — she sees her chance to take back her birthright (and a heftier commission on her sales).

Sure, she'll have to fend off advances (romantic, business and otherwise) by the scheming Gawain, but she’s handled worse. With a silver tongue and the right leverage, anything's possible...

...until the new king decides to give up weapons manufacturing and turn Camelot to charity instead. After that, all bets are off.
