For the last 40 years, Jada Bolen hasn't held a spoon, or a fork, or even a piece of string. She's only talked to one man, and only ever during a specific 3-hour window. She cannot dress herself, bathe herself, or defend herself against even the most blatant aggressions. She has not left the confines of her home for forty years... for the good of mankind.
All that is about to change.
Mankind is trouble.
"Jada..." he wheezed, "y-you listen to Barclay, now. Do as she says. Remember..." he gasped. "Remember your vow."
The thing about deadly weapons is they can do a lot of good in the right hands, and a lot of bad in the wrong ones. But what if the weapon has a mind of its own, and kinda enjoys the havoc it wreaks? Worse yet, what if that weapon gets loose, after forty years of cruel imprisonment?
Lucky for us, Jada -- the weapon -- is bound by a security measure: she needs to ask permission to touch absolutely anything.
Unluckily for us, her new handler is a little too innocent, and easily swayed.
